THE GRAMMAR OF WHAT WE DO
If you think a minute about the way we use language, you can see we don't learn a bunch of rules and then apply them. We can generate whatever we need to say on the fly and get it right. Since language is a behavior, then what we do must be like this, too—not an applied bunch of rules, but something we generate on the fly and get right. Of course, when we want to check our language, we have grammar; but grammar is not natural and must be learned. Descriptive Psychology is the grammar of what we do, and this course is an introduction to that grammar. Fortunately, it's a lot less complicated than language grammar, so if you're getting the willies thinking about diagramming and the plu-perfect subjunctive, relax. It's all in plain language and only five concepts per session.
10 sessions beginning Tues., April 8th, 7-9 pm. $50

5 Elements of Health
In Chinese Medicine, physical health comes from balancing the elements of water, wood, fire, earth and metal within the body. This class adapts this theory to a neo-pagan worldview, looking at balancing the elements of earth, air, fire, water, and spirit within each of us to create profound, abiding health in our lives. We will cover such topics as nutrition, exercise, meditation, and energy work, all within the context of harmonizing the 5 elements.

Minimum class size: 4
