THE SUN IN ASTROLOGY: YOU ARE A STAR
The Sun is the heart of the chart and the center of the personality, and yet it's often only later in life that we feel like the Sun is actually shining. In this class we'll explore the Sun's importance in the development of a sense of self and purpose in life and how that process is influenced by the house position, planetary aspects, and transits. The Sun is also a significator of "Father" in the chart and we'll examine the psychological meaning of the Sun in context with family patterns to better understand the issues involved in reclaiming ourselves from the family matrix. THE RUNES: A HUMAN JOURNEY
History, mythology, and 20 years of experience combined to create the book by this title. Author Kari Tauring will teach and share her book as we dig deeply into the runes that make up our names. Come with book in hand. Other supplies provided by instructor.

TAROT READING TECHNIQUES
In this class, we will study basic card spreads, reading techniques, communication methods, and ethics. Basic knowledge of definitions and meanings of the cards is required.

FIRST DEGREE REIKI
In first degree, we will start with the history and principles of Reiki, and there will be four attunements to connect you to the universal life energy. We will also learn the traditional hand placements for treatment of the whole body.

SECOND DEGREE REIKI
In second degree, we will discuss more methods and application and share some of our experience. You will be given the symbols to enhance your Reiki and send long distance healing. After the activation attunement, we will practice drawing the symbols and sending Reiki to others.

VISUAL JOURNALING WORKSHOP
Utilizing a wide range of materials, we will explore your own individual path of self discovery. Images, color and form will allow us to move beyond words and engage in a process that can provide the tools for a lifetime of creative expression. Bring a blank notebook of your preference, or an in-process journal if you desire. All materials will be provided.

END OF KARMA
Join Karl Schlotterbeck for an exploration of the end of karma: where it comes from, how it operates, where it is found entangled in our lives today, how to resolve it (not just understand it), and how to prevent future karma (Then, what do we do when karma is out of the way?) Throughout the afternoon, we will have lecture, discussion, group regression, and guided imagery.
You should leave this workshop with a better idea about who you are, why you came to Earth, why you suffer, what you can do about that suffering, and what you can do to reclaim the light of your soul.

Karl Schlotterbeck, MA, CAS, is a licensed psychologist who has been practicing past-life therapy since 1981. He wrote Living Your Past Lives in response to the contradictory things being written about karma and to show how past-life therapy could relieve many problems. He wrote The Karma in Your Relationships to show how past-life influences show up in our relationships. He has experience with both hypnotic and non-hypnotic methods of past-life therapy and has brought his shamanic training and Celtic spirituality to the table in his unique understanding of karma.
OPENING YOUR DREAMS
Our dreams are the windows to the unconscious mind. Too often we just get sidelong glances into that psychic center of our power and creativity. We can learn to see more.
We'll start the class by taking a quick look at the theories of Freud and Jung and their interpreters. Using our own dreams, we will learn to understand and interpret the hidden meanings of dreams to gain insight into our own secrets and confirm our feelings and intuitions. We'll talk about identifying the difference between personal dreams and precognitive, telepathic, and shamanic dreams. We'll also learn how to help others understand their dreams and how to keep a dream journal. Come prepared to share your dreams.

OUTER PLANETS: URANUS, NEPTUNE, PLUTO
The outer planets represent powerful evolutionary forces in the collective unconscious. Contact with these planets takes us beyond and away from ordinary life sometimes making it difficult for us to feel like we "fit in". They may even wreak great havoc and disorder in our lives. The outer planets also have the capacity to infuse our lives with new meaning and new directions and reveal possibilities we may never have considered. Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto are also names for gods in classical mythology. In this class we'll study their stories for insights into the workings of the forces they represent. As agents for change, the gods cannot be controlled, but it's up to us to work with them to try and create something positive and even extraordinary.
